D O U J I N S H I ?

-banner created by KOKUJINDESU--

Doujinshi is indy art with an anime/manga style or flavor. Do you draw with pen, pencil, crayons, tablet or other media? Or do you just 'draw with your mind' - writing manga stories or inventing your own charas in your head? Or do you just plain love doujinshi? You want to improve your skills or share your own talents with other people? In any case, this group is for you: Support Doujinshi! And remember, "Minna, doujinshi wo shiji shimashou!"

QUESTION!

ANOO, WHY ARE WE ALL ADMINISTRATORS?

To make a looong rant short, we would like to try something new here -- building trust and faith in one another. Doujinshi and any other kind of indy art for that matter is under-appreciated anywhere, so supporting our artists -- so-called 'speakers of dream' -- is a must.

ATTENTION! There's been a call for help requesting art on the forums by a friend of mine. Feeling uninspired? Want to do some art but can't think of what to do? Then why don't you try out doing some Character Art by request here? I've already done 7 characters, why don't you check it out?

(4) C3 Stratey: Campaign, Campaign, Campaign!
Well, I guess we have to go full-metal or full-powa on campaigning for and promoting doujinshi now... of course, we're not against walls, but what we'd really want is more recognition and support for indy art from people in MT. Here are some suggested tactics on campaigning, k? Feel free to add or invent some more campaign styles here! ^_^

[Guerilla PM/GB Attack Style] - Been traveling around MT and see someone with drawings (any media is OK!) on her/his gallery? Also, 'see someone who faves lotsa doujinshi? Please do immediately invite 'em to the DSC either via PM or GB post.

[Plug Your Works!] - Plug a banner everytime you submit your doujinshi at the very end of your doujinshi. Anyone who has a cool plug banner can also provide one here. Support what? You know what...

[New Group Linking System] - With the new changes in the gallery descriptions, we can no longer display images. However, you can still plug in the group by the following ways:

1. [group=Doujinshi-Support-Club] - this will show up as a text link with the group name: Doujinshi-Support-Club

2. [group=doujinshi-support-club] - this will show up as the club button

3. Or put the banner on your userpage, by using the HTML code:

Guestbook submission codes

Use this to show off your latest doujins in the guestbook:

1. Bigger image:

2. Smaller thumbnail image:

Just replace the ****** with the number that's in the URL of your doujin, and replace "title of your doujin" with the name of the doujin ^__^

Display

Monthly Doujinshi Display

PLEASE READ THIS GUIDELINES

*DOUJINSHI support club, monthly display, GUIDELINES*

Section 1 : Submissions

Intro - Drawings must have been done by you, or in a collab with someone (like coloring someone else's drawing), but not be friend's drawing that you've not helped in at all.

1 - Contestants should only submit 2 drawing max per month, one of each category : CGed / colored and regular (black and white, inked or with colored elements, as long as the character is in b/w. A colored outline [colors such as brown, blue] without coloring of the character, is also considered b/w). Or two drawings in the same category. This is to insure that the contest is fair, and that quality primes over quantity. If you are a productive drawer, then you can still put the links to your drawings in the club GB, but not enter them in the contest, if you already reached the limit of 2 drawings.
2 - Drawings that are made and colored by 2 different persons must be submitted under both names. The uncolored drawing can still be submitted into the regular category, under the artist's name.
3 - Drawings entered into the monthly display must have been submitted to MT during the month : you CANNOT submit old drawings. Please look at the dates before you sent your links! only drawings submitted during this month (or the week of the voting) can enter the monthly display.
4 - Links of entered drawings can be sent to one of the following members :MapleRose in order to be put up. That's if you can't do it yourself of course. You can also put your drawing up yourself, but don't mess the codes please ^_^.

Section 2 : Votes

Voting period will last from the beginning of the month until one week after the deadline for submissions. Meanwhile, the drawings will still be displayed, and the new ones will be keep until the voting is finished.

1 - Please download the pic before you vote.
2 - If possible, write a comment in their galleries. I encourage you all to do that.
3 - Don't just vote because it's pretty, vote because of the style, the feeling, acknowledge the unspoken message through doujins. In a nutshell, try to understand the doujins.
4 - Votes are to be send to fireflywishes or to any additional person that will be listed into the voting helpers. The votes have to be clear : state the artist's name and the title of the drawing (and the category it belongs to : regular or colored).
5 - Only TWO votes per person and per month is allowed, one per each category. if you vote for more than two drawings, it will not be counted (but you'll receive a PM or GB post to remind you of that, and you can make your mind and re-vote).

Section 3 : things to ponder

1 - Winning doujinshi(s) of the month will be kept till the end of the year, and ppl will vote for doujinshi of the year : one colored and one regular doujinshi will be selected per month, and one colored and one regular will be awarded doujinshi of the year. They will be displayed on the group page. More prizes for them?*

Section 4 : winners

1 - Once one artist has been elected 'artist of the month' it will not be possible to choose him/her again for the next four months, because if not, we run the risk of seeing the same artist every month, and that is not the purpose of this idea. Also, the winners cannot enter the display for said period of four month, because it'll be pointless since she / he can't get votes nor win. After said period, she / he is free to enter again :)

Hey guys! Just droppin' by.

Anyway, now that I think about it, I feel that there's little point of splitting display submissions to regular and coloured categories.

Many of you might argue that monochrome artworks can never match up to coloured ones. This is simply not true.

IMO, if you put enough effort to your work, you stand a chance to win. After all, it never hurts to challenge yourself. MOST IMPORTANTLY, BE ORIGINAL.

I feel that that is the most important essence in any artwork, even fanarts (maybe you think I'm a hypocrite, as you can see that I've ripped off many works in the past, but it is what I realized recently. Feel free to wipe my wining submissions from the gallery if you want, I don't really care for that anymore)

And I feel happy seeing that most of our members are coming up with their very own originality.

So I hope I could get some feedbacks for my opinion. It's another way to keep this group alive after all.

Hey ive got some thing im working an but heres the thing how to post it here.
